Students and Professor of Italian Attend an Exciting Lecture at the PC Galleries

Professor Giacomo Striuli and his students attended a lecture titled Digital Postcard for Operation 24: a Public Art Intervention in 1970s Italy, delivered by Dr. Martina Tanga, offered by the Providence College Galleries on December 5thProfessor Striuli has been invited to deliver a follow up lecture in March 2019.
Dr. Martina Tanga is a curator and art historian, with an interest in art that engages with social concerns, feminism, and the built environment. She is a specialist in twentieth-century Italian art, and her book, titled Arte Ambientale, Urban Space, and Participatory Art, to be released by Routledge Press, examines radical artistic practices situated in Italy’s 1970s urban landscape. She has held positions at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum and the Worcester Art Museum. She earned her BA and MA in the History of Art from University College London and Ph.D. in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University.
